Learn the traditional active style from China for moving chi powerfully through the body. 12 primary hand techniques and their variations along with range of motion techniques are incorporated into a full-body pattern of prone and supine work. While primarily table work, the class also includes an introduction to barefoot Tui Na on the floor.
Emphasis is given to maintaining tai chi stances while working, for the benefit of energy flow in both the practitioner and the client. Class includes self-massage and tai chi practices. In this modality the client is clothed, allowing you to work with clients in public settings, and easily incorporate these techniques with chair massage and other on-site work.
