McKinnon Community

McKinnon’s intimate campus & flexible course structure are the perfect combination to enhance the possibility of creating community.

Because courses are routinely team-taught, students meet multiple teachers within each program option.

Our friendly administrative staff welcomes inquiries from & interactions with students 7 days a week.

About Ortho-Bionomy®–
Derived from a blend of osteopathy and Eastern philosophy, Ortho-Bionomy® moves with the body’s preferences, creating comfort right from the start and throughout the session. This gentle process activates innate healing reflexes while supporting resilience, so that tensions and holding patterns release, and balance, function, ease, and inner peace re-emerge. These pleasant results tend to deepen afterward, because the body has re-established its internal positive feedback loops. It’s no-pain for the client and easy/smarter for the practitioner. Numerous students have remarked that learning Ortho-Bionomy® has saved their massage careers.

About Sara Sunstein
Sara literally fell into Ortho-Bionomy®: After she took a really bad fall onto her coccyx, a friend recommended she see an Ortho-Bionomist. Within a minute of being worked with, Sara felt amazingly different. Aside from no more pain, every cell inside and around her body seemed to be sparkling. She’s been training in, practicing, and then teaching Ortho-Bionomy ever since, over 35 years ago, because it brings her such joy. Training with the founder, A.L. Pauls, DO, Peter Levine, PhD, and Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen have all influenced Sara’s style. She maintains a private practice in Berkeley, with expertise addressing pain, impact injuries, trauma, and befriending the body.”

Way to go, McKinnon grads! 👏
